Indonesian Coco Fiber known as the best quality

In 2020, it was estimated that Indonesia produced around 2.81 million tons of coconut

Coconut fiber, is a natural fiber extracted from the husk of coconut and used in products such as floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses. Coir is the fibrous material found between the hard, internal shell and the outer coat of a coconut. Other uses of brown coir (made from ripe coconut) are in upholstery padding, sacking and horticulture. White coir, harvested from unripe coconuts, is used for making finer brushes, string, rope and fishing net

Coconut coir which in world trade is known as coco fiber, coir fiber, coir yarn, coir mats, and rugs. Traditionally, coconut coir fiber can be used to make brooms, doormats, ropes and other household utensils. Technological developments, physico-chemical properties of fiber, and consumer awareness to return to natural materials, have made coco fiber used as raw material for the carpet industry, vehicle seats and dashboards, mattresses, pillows, and hardboards. Coconut husk is also used for erosion control. Coconut coir fiber is processed to become Coir Fiber Sheet which is used for coating car seats, furniture items, pots, geotextiles, and mattresses. Export and domestic markets absorb the product in large quantities. However, until now the potential for coco coir production is so large that it has not been fully utilized for productive activities that can increase its added value
